What To Remember When Going Through Persecutions
A Jewish father conducts a funeral for his son who left Judaism to become a follower of Jesus. A Muslim lady sends her son to kill her other son who became a Christian. The subject of persecutions is not a comfortable subject, especially in our day and age where we are being sold the false gospel that eliminates all suffering. But Jesus in this passage not only makes it clear that suffering is an integral part of the Christian life, but also teaches 2 truths that will help us to faithfully endure rejection and persecution.
