A sovereign God uses even the evil acts of people to accomplish his saving work. This truth should comfort us in 3 ways when we face rejection and suffering at the hands of people:
- It protects us from falling into discouragement and despair
- It protects us from retaliating against those who hurt us
- Most importantly, it protects us from developing a wrong view of God's character
