For what we preach is not
ourselves, but Jesus Christ
as Lord, and ourselves as
your servants for Jesus’ sake.
2 Corinthians 4:5
Love: The Most Excellent Way – Part 2
In Part 2 of “Love — The Most Excellent Way,” we dive into 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, where Paul reveals fifteen qualities that reveal what real, Christlike love looks like in action. Far from a poetic ideal, love is shown to be patient, kind, selfless, and enduring — actively rejecting envy, pride, and grudges while persevering through every hardship. Drawing from the Corinthian church’s own struggles, we see how love turns our hearts away from self and toward God and others. Ultimately, we can only love this way because we’ve first been loved by Christ, whose perfect love mediated by the Holy Spirit makes ours possible.
