Perseverance is an attribute that often characterizes great men and women. People have gone to great extremes in order to achieve something that is precious to them, even though it was not of eternal value.

However, there is a greater cause for which the Bible calls us to persevere, the cause of persevering for Christ or to put it in the context of Hebrews 12:1-3, the commitment to keep on running this Christian race.
