Theme: The God Who Is Holy And Who Requires Holiness From His People His People
A survey of Leviticus helps us to get the big picture of this often neglected book that God gave to his people at that time to ensure they would accomplish two things:
1. Worship Rightly by adhering to the laws concerning the Tabernacle
2. Live Rightly by following the community laws around the Tabernacle
This structure highlights how God requires holiness from his people in their relationships—with him (vertical) and with each other (horizontal). It emphasizes the Love God and Love Your Neighbor theme, which Jesus himself stressed in Matthew 22:37-39.
